How To Be A Successful Minority Business

Innovation is the foundation of getting paid. No matter what industry that you are in, you need to be innovative in order to stand out from a crowd. When many people are trying to do the exact same thing, the only thing that will make someone stand out in a crowded market is your ability to think innovatively and do something totally different.

All markets are crowded in today’s world. The music industry is crowded with artists who sound alike and who attempt to do the same thing that was successful for the next artist. Teams in The National Football League will see teams get success with a certain type of quarterback, an offense like The Wildcat, or a new defensive scheme, and try to duplicate it exactly to get the same success.

In order to be the one who stands out, you must be the one who creates and innovates the space. If you constantly strive for innovation, you will naturally be a leader. People follow real leaders. People pay great leaders for great work and great leadership. Become the leader and you will undoubtedly have the success that you seek.

Innovation is not only found in technology but most of it is. You can also be innovative with an approach or a strategy to be this leader. This requires new thinking and testing new strategies. Don’t be afraid to branch out and test new stuff and present your ideas to investors. You never know what will become an industry standard.

The Black American Pocket Guide To Success

leave a comment »

The pocket guide used to be a small book that you would fit in your pocket. Today’s pocket guide is your iPhone or Blackberry that literally goes in your pocket. Download this posting to your phone immediately and move it over to your notes application and reference it everyday.

1). Believe in yourself and believe in God to protect and cover you.
2). Don’t listen to anyone who doesn’t believe in you. Tune them out and stop talking to them, now.
3). Never share your takeover plans with anyone that you don’t trust. They will immediately begin to kill your dream because they don’t believe in themselves.
4). Put the right people around you who can help you succeed. Build the right team.
5). Seek out and meet new team members who can advance your life.
6). When times get thin, tough, hard, and unruly, pray and act at the same time.
7). Success only follows action. Always do a small action to build to a big action.
8). Know that huge success is a process of small steps that lead to big ones.
9). Act small and keep your success and money in the bank.
10). When you have nothing and when you have a whole lot of something, help others always.

Filling The Day With Mystery and Intrigue

leave a comment »

To make our lives extremely meaningful, the day must turn from boring to mysterious. This usually starts by creating some sort of huge challenge for yourself outside of doing the normal stuff and your normal routine that gets boring. Someone I know decided to do a tri-athlon for the first time ever and came in 5th place! Talk about intriguing and mysterious and breaking left from the status quo.

Today, do something extremely abnormal in your life. Doesn’t have to be grandiose and HUGE. It can be a small change. A small tweak in your day. Find out something new about yourself and go do it. Go to a race track and race a car. Be safe though. Do something new and something completely out of your character that’s legal and fun.
