Grammy Member Tiffany Cheri Price Releases Domestic Violence Book

leave a comment »

Singer/Songwriter Tiffany Cheri Price is writing one of the most potent books set to release spring of 2010. The Atlanta based singer/songwriter has penned her most powerful story to date: the story of the struggle and pain of surviving domestic violence.

Tiffany Cheri Price Domestic Violence Survival Book "I'm Strong Enough"

The book is loosely based on her personal experiences growing up and dealing with abusive situations and violence in the home. After years of holding this story in during a successful music career, she has decided to come out and share her story with other women who deal with this hidden secret.

Tiffany Cheri Price’s book, “I’m Strong Enough” will be released initially on her own publishing imprint and publishing company in Atlanta, GA, 2209 Publishing. This young lady is very brave and strong to share her story of triumph and give back to women who struggle with such a potentially deadly and secretive situation where often times the victim is simply too scared and too emotionally scarred to seek help and guidance.

Tiffany’s poignant book tells the story of witnessing the brutal gun beating of her mother before facing her own domestic abuser. As a domestic abuse survivor, Tiffany Cheri Price pledges “strength, wisdom, knowledge, experience, and encouragement” as domestic abuse victims pledge the words ‘I’m Strong Enough’. A portion of the proceeds of book sales will be donated to the Tiffany Cheri Price I’m Strong Enough Foundation which will assist abuse victims with rental assistance.

Ms. Price is also gearing up for speaking engagements across the southeast and the entire United States and speaks to women at conferences, colleges, prisons, and treatment centers. You can reach her directly for booking at tiffanycheriprice@gmail.com.

How To Get Fit In An Unfit World

leave a comment »

America is inundated with advertisements on food that will kill you. As a nation, we are the global world leader and authority on obesity, overweight earthlings, and plain old fat stores on the body. On top of this, we then have companies that get rich off of then selling instant cures to this weight problem.

[picapp src=”d/6/5/4/Floyd_Mayweather_Open_39b1.jpg?adImageId=6636089&imageId=4863078″ width=”380″ height=”243″ /]

You have to first understand that your body is a very complex machine that God has made for us. It knows exactly what to do because our bodies are directly connected to our minds. The body knows when to store fat and it knows exactly how to get rid of fat when it is working. There is no magic pill that will make fat go away because the body doesn’t respond like this.

You can’t just raise your metabolism or your heart rate by taking something. I thoroughly recommend something simple to reduce weight. The first thing to do is immediately stop eating processed foods. Processed foods are the pre-cooked frozen meals at the grocery store that people have convinced us that we need because we simply don’t have time to cook anything.

You don’t even need super excellent nutrition to get the weight down. You don’t need to munch on salads everyday. You need to remove processed foods and start baking or grilling your food.

The next thing you need to do is walk every single day without fail. America has become so dependent on the automobile that we never, ever walk anywhere. People were thinner in the pre-industrial and pre-automobile age because we relied on bicycles and walking to go anywhere. I recommend walking every single day for at least 4 miles or 1.5 to 2 hours each day.

You will be amazed at how much weight you start to drop just by doing that alone. The combination of removing processed foods and walking 2-4 miles each day will make you start dropping weight in 30 days. Don’t make any excuses. Just walk. Get a good pair of running or walking shoes so that the walk is comfortable for you. If you don’t like walking or hiking, simply get on a bicycle and ride your bike each day.

The key to reducing any amount of weight anywhere on your body lies in doing the task every single day of your life so that it becomes a habit. Good habits are where breakthroughs and success live.

How To Survive Living a Black Dangerous Life

leave a comment »

Being black in America has proven to be very dangerous and deadly in 2009. High school kids have been killed, athletes have been jailed, and rappers are being put behind bars at a faster pace than ever before.

Here’s what to do to stay alive and survive in America. Education, education, education. I cannot say it any clearer. Your opportunities increase exponentially with education. I’m talking about finishing high school with a good grade point average, going on to college and graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science type of degree, and heading on to business school.

No more excuses. There are all types of programs and grants and loans available to get an education today. President Obama has made sure of that. It’s now in the hands of black youth to take action and get educated. This is a state of emergency and must be implemented immediately.

Anyone who lives in the ‘hood should move. I suggest moving as far away from the ghetto as possible as this increases your life expectancy greatly. The ghetto is filled with strife, anger, despair, and destitution. Time for change and time to leave that behind. It’s time for a new way of life and a new glory. Get out of the ‘hood mentality, get educated, and no more excuses. You owe yourself glory and greatness.

Do People Think You Are A Fat Ugly Transexual?

leave a comment »

It doesn’t matter what they think. This was proven on P. Diddy’s Making His Band that I watched via Comcast two nights ago. Someone who is on the show has all of those so called things against them and they have the most talent of all background singers. I was so impressed that Diddy literally walked over to her and asked her directly what her sexual orientation was. He wanted to hear it for himself. It was very moving that Diddy, Andre Harrell, and Dallas Austin thought she had extreme talent.

This proves one simple truth: it’s not always what you look like. God has created you with a special super talent. Find it. Grow it. Become it. And don’t be afraid of the criticism.

To Be A Successful Entrepreneur

leave a comment »

Being successful as an entrepreneur truly depends upon how you measure success. Most human being measure success by sales. But sales is not the only indication of entrepreneurial success. I measure success by action. If you make small action every single day you are successful. As long as you’re moving toward your goal in small increments, you are highly successful.

Success should be measured in small chunks. Not huge super sized American standards. Make it easy on yourself. Achieve big things by acting small and taking small actions that you can control. It makes it much easier on your mind and gives you the confidence to keep moving forward. Go small! It’s the best way to achieve big results. Small, steady, calculated growth is the new mantra in American business.

Black American Prosperity

leave a comment »

Opening the door to prosperity can seem to be a long and arduous and sometimes endless process. You have prosperity’s key. You just need to know how to unlock the door. Prosperity is not fleeting and not elusive to us as young black americans and young african americans. To open the door of prosperity, you need vision. Vision will give you the ability to see the unseen and see through trouble and your present condition.

If you can truly stand and see through the troubled waters, you can make it to the other side of prosperity’s door. It’s available for us all. Anyone can have it. You must continually knock on the door and keep trying and keep working. You must keep writing and be prepared at all times. You must be ready. You must finish school. You must go to your dance class. You must go to your football practice. You must be ready and stay ready.

Prosperity will answer your knock when you least expect it. It will open the door. Will it find you there or did you leave and give up long ago because you didn’t have vision? Please stay there. Please stay focused.

President Obama Improves Military Gay Rights

leave a comment »

Now this is a very touchy subject and I have to applaud President Obama for going all the way on this issue. I have to admit that I grew up playing football in the midwest and in Texas. If a dude was even close to being thought of as gay, he was completely ostracized and sometimes actually physically hurt by people that I knew. Not a good thing but it’s the truth.

President Obama on Gays In the Military

President Obama on Gays In the Military

I know many soldiers as I worked with a large Federal Government Prime Contractor that provides personnel to the United States Army bases across the world. I always dealt with soldiers and I’ve been on three army bases in and around Atlanta, GA. I have spoken at length with soldiers at lunch and at dinner. This issue is not an easy issue to support.

Yes, I know people will say times have changed and you should support everything and everybody in this world but that’s not always the truth. Being a mans man, having a gay soldier next to you would prove an issue when it comes to issues of war. Not from a fighting standpoint but from a lifestyle standpoint. When you are in a tent and sharing close quarters with people, it is tough for heterosexual men to easily feel at ease with gay men and probably vice versa.

I know gay soldiers can fight and do just as well as anyone else. I think the real issue lies in the normal lifestyle stuff. When you’re in a desert walking around tired, lonely, and dodging RPG’s (rocket propelled grenades), you don’t want to think that the dude next to you loves men. It’s been a camaraderie thing for years. Men just bond with men who exhibit manly characteristics especially in environments like football and war. Even if a dude is strong as an ox and tough as hell, if he claims he’s gay and loves men, he is immediately ostracized in an environment where everyone needs to stick together to stay alive. Tough issue.
