San Francisco 49ers Draft Pick Michael Crabtree Should Not Be Signed

leave a comment »

Michael Crabtree was a standout receiver at Texas Tech last season but to sit out three weeks without talking to the San Francisco 49ers is a joke. Why in the world does he think he has so much value and has never played or practiced a down in the National Football League. I’m really tired of these young cats thinking they hold so much weight and teams will not even negotiate with top veteran players like this.

On one hand, I agree because this is the most money that he’ll ever see from a contract in the NFL. That’s proven. But, to sit out all 4 weeks means he will never be able to learn the plays now. And now the 49ers are winning without him, he wants to negotiate to get on the team. If I were the 49ers, I would never even play this kid and sign him and let him sit on the bench the entire season.

Does Online Sex Still Sell?

leave a comment »

I saw a posting on CNN about sex selling and I don’t think it does anymore as much as porn used to sell. People have less discretionary income so they are not registering and signing up for monthly porn sites the way people did in a great economy. I think online sex is down in sales and is impacted the way all other entertainment industries are impacted heavily.

Spinks Industries asks does Online Porn Still Sell?

I think just like The NFL or MLB, those entertainment firms with great brands will always sell because they have long standing brands. Brands such as Playboy, Hustler, Penthouse, etc. These brands have been around for a long time and make money from publishing and print advertising. The online portion was never their core focus. Most porn sites now are free and are fighting with how to monetize themselves as we speak or as you read this.

Again, it all goes back to what Spinks Industries discusses on my professional site, building core customers and web site visitors who want to pay. This is much easier said than done but can be done with niche marketing development.

Music Artists May Want To Invest In A Career

leave a comment »

2008′s album sales are in and look very dismal. In 2008, 115,000 albums were released into the United States market. Out of this number, only 110 albums sold over 250,000 records. Only 1,500 sold over 10,000 records. I think that artists should stay in the studio AND have an alternative hustle. Just know that breaking into the 110 is going to be a long hard road.

Oakland Raiders Coach Could Be Arrested on Assault Charges

leave a comment »

As if the Oakland Raiders, who can’t move the ball down the field, don’t have enough problems with their football team, another potential HUGE issue has surfaced. It seems as though Head Coach Tom Cable is being accused of assault by one of his assistant coaches from back on August 5, 2009. Details are somewhat sketchy but it appears as though Raiders assistant coach Randy Hanson has accused head coach Tom Cable of punching him and breaking his jaw.

Oakland Raiders Head Coach Tom Cable could face NFL suspension

I reached out to the Raiders and they have not returned my calls or any of my Tweets regarding this issue or on the matter of the decline of the Raiders offense. On Sunday, I tweeted to the organization to see what they were going to do with struggling quarterback JaMarcus Russell who continues to have problems getting the teams offense working on all cylinders. This latest news does not help with team chemistry. During yesterday’s football game, it was already obvious that the team is losing confidence as players fumbled the ball, dropped the ball, and seemed to become unglued. Stay tuned for details on this story.

The Black Mans Emergency Survival Kit

leave a comment »

I used to attend Muslim meetings at Your Black Muslim Bakery on San Pablo Avenue in Oakland, CA with Adisa Banjoko and Dr. Bey used to always say “As steel sharpens steel, men sharpen men and vice versa for women.” I agree.

As the world has been literally shocked with the violent death related news of several black men, I thought it prudent to come out and help tell our black men how to stay out of morgues, jails, and prisons.

Black Men Beware of beautiful prisons designed just for US.

Black Men Beware of beautiful prisons designed just for US.

First of all, when an encounter or beef starts to escalate, we men handle it differently than women. Black women can get in each others face and not let it escalate. We do NOT handle in your face tactics. If someone gets in your face and challenges you, walk away. Do not retaliate. Do not buck up. Do not start screaming and yelling. This helps you stay alive to live another day.

Learn to know when to buck up and when to walk. Most encounters happen because of our male ego and especially as black men. We typically don’t want anyone seeming superior to us so we will act a fool when someone decides to get loud or challenge our manhood. Again, know when to walk away. Not every situation requires you to prove you’re the man. Sometimes being the man is swallowing your pride and walking away. Learn to control your anger or it will completely DOMINATE YOU.

If it appears as though someone is ready to take out a knife and start a battle with you, even if you have a gun, walk away. You don’t need to kill them and take their life. You are setting in motion something that you know nothing about. Walk away even if you feel confident with your .44 Magnum locked and loaded. This does not make you a man and determine your power. You will be headed for a 25 years to life bid in the big house.

Know that violence is not always the answer to every black mans problem. Just because you may be having a hard time and some one crosses you, you do not need to resort to violence. Solve this by learning to come to peace with who you are as a man. Run into the church and get your spirit washed and cleansed. Get healed of anything that makes you feel inferior or like you can’t achieve your dreams.

Find another black man and talk to him about how you feel. Find him at bible study or find him at the church, mosque, masjid, temple, or somewhere in a spiritual or educational environment. He is out there waiting to help.

Sit Down With Obsessed Film Producer Will Packer

leave a comment »

For all intents and purposes, Will Packer is a star. His films have grossed over $100 Million in box office receipts in one year alone. But the greatest lesson lies in understanding what Mr. Packer did to excel to these levels.

In my radio interview with him on Beyond The Bling Radio, I go one on one with Will Packer.

Rainforest Films' Obsessed by Will Packer

Rainforest Films' Obsessed by Will Packer

This talented director, filmmaker, and CEO of Rainforest Films, has produced and directed Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles and Idris Elba, Stomp The Yard, Stomp The Yard 2, and is presently putting the finishing touches on another blockbuster hit called Takers where he is working with Hollywood’s elite actors once again. You can download and listen to the complete motivating interview online here at Beyond The Bling Radio.

Get ready to get moving! This guy motivates everyone to action. Starting where we all start, with nothing but a dream and a prayer, Will Packer and Rob Hardy did what all true entrepreneurs do when challenged, they got busy. He removed all excuses for why he couldn’t succeed and started putting a plan together to realize his dreams. Armed with a laptop, passion, courage, wisdom, and prayer, this man made it from ZERO to 100 Million! You can too!

President Obama For The Win

with one comment

It’s Friday night and I just had to say to President Obama that we are for you and support you. In a very interesting and negative Republican world, there is still a ground swell of support from the United States and the world at large. It will be tough to pass health care legislation for all United States Citizens, primarily because the United States was never meant to be a socialistic type of country.

The Underground Millionaire News Syndicate

The Underground Millionaire News Syndicate

The United States does not care about it’s people. It is obvious and it never has. The country would rather spend billions fighting a war and never take care of it’s own citizens. We live in a strict capitalistic society where the sentiment is “each man for himself”. It’s always been like this and always will be like this. I do, however, vote for change.

I’m a realist too though and know America. If America wanted to take care of it’s people, it would have done so 50 years ago. Instead, our country is built on greed and capitalistic power. It is built on a foundation of free labor and maximizing profit. This is why every corporations mission is to now send as many jobs as possible overseas to other countries in a time when America needs the employment bad.

The September 2009 unemployment rate nationwide was 9.8%. Shouldn’t jobs and healthcare be every Americans issue? It’s not. The Republicans try at every angle to make President Obama out to look like a fool and they somehow believe that they are the only ones with jobs and have to pay taxes to take care of our people. I have a company and my taxes are high as ever but I don’t mind taking care of American citizens. It’s my duty and privilege as an American. It’s only right to pay into the Social Security system and help the well being of all American citizens.

Big ups to President Obama and keep up the grind and the hustle, big dawg!
